    Thank you for sharing your story/experiences, I'm so so sorry for all of the horrible things, that have happened to you, you are amazing, incredible, talented, and an inspiration, I've always thought that each member stood out equally to me in the girl band and each girl had their own thing to bring to the group, it's sad to hear not everyone saw that, felt that way, it's good that your speaking up, speaking out and bringing awareness to this, talking about race really can be a challenging topic to discuss, it's a very sensitive and emotional topic, but it is important to talk about, things revolving around race, still is an issue in many spaces, places, it shouldn't be the case, but things like this keep happening, it's not nice, it's not okay, and it's not good, hopefully things will change and get better, hopefully there will be a time when there won't be a need to talk about things like this, because we're all humans at the end of the day, everyone should be seen and heard, treated fairly and equally, and treated with consideration and respect, regardless of what your race is or what the colour of your skin is too, hopefully we can all learn things from other people, and do what we can to help the world to be a better place for everyone 🌸

    Testimony strengthens your fortitude in the fire. Everyone's story with it's flaws and accomplishments can change the narrative and make a difference for the ones who want to change for the better. We can all have better self awareness if people speak up about their experiences. It humanizes people.

    I used to see capatalism this way when I was twelve. It is a profoundly low resolution critique and a mistepresentation of the flaws in the system. What capatalism needs to function correctly is a moral and vigilant society that holds the line of accountability through lawmakers and politicians otherwise it will be corrupted by the worst of us. Is our capitalistic sytem corrupted. It absolutley is because we allowed it to happen. Was it socialism that lifted more people out of poverty in the last 70 years than any system in human history? No, that was capatalism. Socialism, however has killed hundreds of millions of people in the same time frame. Im happy to discuss what has become of capatalism since the inception of the federal reserve that led to criminal banking practices and the eventual merging of coroorate and state power that have led us to our current position of being ruled by a technocratic oligarchy perpetuated and protected by a profoundly corrupt government that gaslights its people into believing that our constitutional republic and its citizens have democratically elected representation. More than happy to discuss this and possible solutions. However, I will not be told by a couple of brats that have benefitted from capatalism their entire lives that Socialism is a superior model. If you want to live in a socialist country than you should do that and I wish you luck. Or start a commune in your home country that you seem to despise. Socialism is a cancer because it fails to understand the psychology of humanbeings. And this nonsense about the far-right is just rediculous. The western world is indeed full of extremists at the moment and they are all lefty progressives, communists and Sharia law type Islamics. Ive had my fill of this clown activism that is detached from reality.

    I think she’s absolutely correct but that “real democracy” is layers of democratic engagement. LLCs should be controlled democratically by the workers, local and national decisions made by the people that live there. There’s no need for this level of inequality and it’s wrong that people are simply born into having control of the economy while most will never get to have any real impact on it. Extractionism is destroying local areas - just look at the desperation in all these seaside towns!

      @perrymason866 4 дні тому

      @@Phill0old hierarchies will always exist to some extent. She’s not saying tear them all down - she is critiquing the manner in which the current system operates. Saying “it was worse before” is an idiotic point to try to make - we can still push to create further improvements. As my initial comment clearly discussed. I get that you’d rather not have to think about how to make things better but maybe don’t cry about other people doing it.

    • @Phill0old
      @Phill0old 3 дні тому

      @@perrymason866 Not so, she ascribed to Capitalism the failures (in her opinion) of democracy. That's nonsense thinking. Democracy predates Capitalism and so if there was a causal link it would be the other way round. I'm not pro democracy since it falsely implies that was and every person's opinion is of equal value, when clearly it isn't. Certainly no modern state could function as a true democracy anyway. I'm all for only granting the franchise to those over 30 and under 70 so as to avoid the mentally immature and the mentally incompetent from taking part. Sadly maturity sets in so late nowadays that maybe 50 would be closer.

    I was *delighted* when I saw that Audible had revived Green Wing as a podcast. I had such a happy time listening (and then listening again a couple more times), and it took me back to All4, where you can still stream the series. This is my all-time favourite comedy because there is nothing to match it for the characters, all so different and distinct, and the detail in the writing (presumably). You can easily miss little things if you're not careful. Best of all, it hasn't even dated, even after all these years. This video is another little bonus for fans, so thank you for putting it up here.
